TUESDAY FEBRUARY 7 th, 2012

Talk and demonstration in French and English by Christine Chaney on Reupholstery followed by lunch.

TUESDAY MARCH 6 th, 2012

The Annual General Meeting will be followed by an aperitif and lunch.

THURSDAY MARCH 22 nd, 2012

We have planned a full day at Vire with a visit in the morning of the Andouillerie Asselot, lunch at Vire and an afternoon visit of the Guy Degrenne factory.

WEDNESDAY APRIL 25 th, 2012

This year our traditional plant swap and afternoon tea will take place in the spring so members can already start making plans for summer plants and bedding.

THURSDAY MAY 24 th, 2012

A lovely day is in store for members with a guided visit in the morning of the Château de Nacqueville and the gardens, lunch at Landemer followed by a visit to the Moulin de Marie Ravenel, mill owner and poetess in the afternoon.

MONDAY JUNE 18 th, 2012

A talk in English (with a summary in French) on The Tue Vaques (cow killer) dans la Manche, a short history of the lost and almost forgotten narrow-gauge rail network in the Manche and lunch will be followed by a train trip in July.

WEDNESDAY JULY 4 th, 2012

A trip on the coastal railway from Cabourg to Houlgate (10 minutes), visit, lunch at the Casino, return to Cabourg, a walk in Cabourg and afternoon tea at the Grand Hôtel with a short reading from Proust.

JULY AND AUGUST

Dates and details of two summer walks will be given subsequently.

SUNDAY JULY 22 nd, 2012

Our traditional Bring a plate will take place at Cambernon and we will be able to sample more delicious dishes.

FRIDAY AUGUST 10 th, 2012

An interesting visit in perspective at the Crèvecoeur medieval festival with a visit of the Oil drilling museum and lunch on site.

FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 14 th, 2012

A day’s fishing and picnic at a fish farm is planned for us to enjoy the fresh air.

STARTING IN OCTOBER THROUGH THE WINTER MONTHS

We will meet around a text (French or English) followed by afternoon tea around a log fire.

OCTOBER, 2012

The date for a harvest festival and produce swap will be given subsequently.

MONDAY NOVEMBER 12 th, 2012

A talk in English about French institutions should be both interesting and useful.

SUNDAY DECEMBER 9 th, 2012

Our traditional Christmas lunch will as always be a good way to end the year.
